After over 30 years in the Photo Trade, most of it as a Photo Wholesaler, I may have picked up few ideas along the way. Forgive me but some are too sensitive and special to share, but there is one and perhaps it is the best of all….

We can all positively influence the performance of our businesses, increasing sales and customer footfall or hits without any increase in our overheads whatsoever. Whether we are selling from a high street or on the net or a combination of both, the answer is the same. We all plough money into operations in order to effect sales be it by shop refits or improved websites. All very necessary but costly and let’s agree ‘the best things in life are free’ like good health and fresh air etc.

So hear me out on this one. I am not some self help business guru. I only know what has worked for me over the years and particularly in recent times as this technique has been proven to work. I may or may not be correct; it is for you to ascertain if you wish. Or perhaps you are like me and have tried and succeeded yourself.

Perhaps our greatest asset is our minds, especially as business people they will be sharp and strong. And so here it is. So strong, if we realise it are our minds and thoughts, that all around us can be influenced. The people we contact, the words we write (say on our websites) and what we think with good and positive thought processes and without negativity, will achieve amazing results. Great things will happen, profit and turnovers will rise. It has worked for me. Try it out for a few days: All positive thoughts, no matter what is going on, and no negativity. I guarantee a result!
